The Netherlands has formally launched its online gambling marketplace, KSA takes a big step in modernising Dutch gambling<\/strong>.<\/span><\/h1>\n

Online gambling is getting bigger as more people join online casinos and betting sites.
\nThe opportunities for online gambling operators are huge and with the opening of the legal market for online games of chance, an important step has been taken. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Netherlands opened its regulated online gambling market, thereby closing the gap of the absence of online gambling, now players can place their legal sports bets and play casino games over the Internet.
\nOnline gambling was previously prohibited in the Netherlands. <\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, the Dutch regulator Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) has revealed the identity of the 10 operators that have been issued licenses to offer online gambling in the country\u2019s newly regulated market, there is a number of applications that are still pending.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to IGB, the Dutch regulatory authority – Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) – chairman Ren\u00e9 Jansen said that more licenses will be added in the near future as further applications are expected from several operators.<\/a> They said also that the market would not look complete until July 2022 in The Netherlands..<\/span><\/p>\n

Jansen said \u201cOther providers may also be interested, but they are waiting to submit an application because they are not yet ready for it. Strict conditions must be met and strict testing is carried out. But there will certainly be more permit holders. “<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIf operators are caught offering gambling services without a license, the Dutch regulator Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) will take disciplinary action\u201d. <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Rene Jansen, Netherland Gambling Authority said that everything is clear and he expects \u20ac800m in gross gambling revenue for 2024.
\nHe is quite optimistic about the process and said that it could be possible within a few years to reach a channelisation of 90%.
\nThere is no limitation on the number of licenses<\/a> accepted, therefore, anyone who meets all the requirements of the regulator is entitled to receive a license. The duration of the license is 5 (five) years and the license fee is set at 48,000 euros.. <\/p>\n

The important element for the Netherland Gambling Authority is intensify the international cooperation with the other regulators in Europe.<\/h2>\n
